Azure Migrate: Assisting in the Migration Process of Systems

In the field of technology, generally speaking, the industry moves using Microsoft systems. One of the useful tools under this brand is Azure, the hybrid Microsoft cloud that contains all its services. The convenience of this is that it assures a smoother interaction, a performance free of compatibility errors, and the integration of platform, infrastructure and service functions, especially considering that Microsoft makes use of its own means to complete tasks.

In light of this, it is common that companies opt for migrating their systems to Azure. With this scenario in mind, Azure Migrate emerges as a tool within Azure that assists in the migration process of equipment to this Microsoft cloud. Migrate is based on the system scheme intended for migration and redirects the user to other of its useful tools, such as Azure Site Recovery and Azure Database Migration Service. With the support of these tools, this service gives a diagnosis of the needs in such migration, like needed equipment capacity, characteristics for optimal performance, and estimated cost for keeping the equipment in the cloud.

These characteristics make Azure Migrate an evaluating assistant in the migration process of equipment. As stated by Microsoft collaborators, Olprod and Iamquinmu (2019, para.1), for companies in early stages of migration evaluation, or even contemplating the possibility of a lift-and-shift migration, this is the ideal tool. Additionally, having support from a Microsoft parter, as is the case of Perfiles Tecnológicos, can add value to the migration process. The added value of this is in the specialists who can interpret the diagnoses and information provided by Azure Migrate -maximizing the invested time, giving higher attention and continuity to the implementation, and giving support to the Microsoft migration guarantee.
